Over the past two months, my experience at JMC has been truly exceptional. Not once have I regretted my time here, and I am profoundly grateful for the meaningful encounters and relationships I have formed. JMC has always been a place I aspired to be, and my time here has been nothing less than a privilege and a blessing. From working with the students as a whole to engaging more specifically with groups such as the Altar Servers, St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Lectors, and the Catechumens, my journey has been filled with learning, growth, and profound moments of reflection.

When I first arrived at JMC, I carried with me a sense of obscurity and vagueness, not only in my understanding of the community but also in my own personal journey. However, as I began immersing myself in the chaplaincy work and actively engaging with the students, I found my perspective shifting. Slowly but surely, my mind started adapting to the culture of the school, and what once seemed unfamiliar gradually became meaningful and enlightening.

Among all my engagements, the most insightful experience was my involvement with the Catechism class and the morning meditation. Through these sessions, I had the opportunity to re-explore the depths of the Catholic faith, and the relevance of silence, rediscovering aspects that I had not previously fully understood. It was a humbling and enriching journey, one that deepened my appreciation for the spiritual foundations of the Church. Additionally, working closely with the new Lectors allowed me to delve deeper into the liturgy, uncovering layers of meaning and significance that had previously eluded me.

Another particularly meaningful experience was working with the Altar Servers. This engagement rekindled memories of my own time as a young Altar Server years ago. The shared sense of reverence and dedication reminded me of the profound spiritual connection that the liturgy fosters. It was a touching experience, one that bridged my past and present, reaffirming the enduring power of faith as a guiding force in my life.

Through all these experiences, I found myself reflecting on the nature of obscurity itself. Initially, vagueness seemed like an obstacle, a lack of clarity that needed to be overcome. However, as time passed, I came to see obscurity as an invitation rather than a hindrance. It challenged me to explore further, to seek understanding beyond what is immediately visible. Obscurity, I realized, is not a deficiency but an inherent quality of human experience.

In this realization, I found a newfound appreciation for vagueness. It is within the spaces of the unknown that true growth and deeper understanding often take root. My time at JMC has been a testament to this truth. The journey of discovery, whether in faith, in service, or in personal reflection has been transformative, allowing me to grow spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally.

For this incredible experience, I am sincerely grateful. Thank you, JMC, for welcoming me into this community and for offering me a space to learn and grow. Thank you to my Jesuit brothers, who have been a source of support and inspiration. Thank you to the Phoenixes, whose dedication and company have enriched my journey. And finally, thank you to the noble colleagues, whose presence and contributions have made this experience even more meaningful.

As I move forward, I will carry with me the lessons and insights gained from my time at JMC. This experience has reinforced the value of faith, service, and the beauty of embracing life’s uncertainties. It has been a journey of transformation, and for that, I remain deeply thankful.
