Writing this reflection seems to have taken me the longest time, not necessarily because I do not know what to write, but because if I am being honest, words do not sum up all that I experienced during my Kairos. Reflecting on the retreat, I could say that I have somewhat been given a sense of clarity as the retreat was eye-opening and it allowed me focus on my relationship with God away from distractions brought about by my everyday life.

The retreat was setup in such a way that it inculcated various religious and moral activities including times for prayer, lessons, and reflection, which allowed me to reconnect with God and strengthen my faith in Him. It had me doing things that I wouldn’t normally make a conscious effort to do but rather see as unnecessary. I am happy to say that I am now at a place in my life where I have become conscious of how my actions affect the people around me and how it affects my relationship with God.

The Kairos experience also helped me work on my relationships with the people around me and it helped me see that not everyone’s life is as easy as they present it to be. Even people who seem unaffected by anything have something they are going through and sometimes all they need is a friend wo is willing to listen and show them that they care.

The experience as a whole was insightful and made me think deeply of my life as a Christian. It allowed me to see the unchanging and forgiving love that God has for me, and it showed me that God’s timing is best, so I must trust God fully and commit everything to Him having the assurance that God knows what is best for me. Being able to work with people and share in their vulnerability really showed me that there is love in the littlest of things and that everyone is their own unique and powerful person. This is something that I will never forget.

Being surrounded by people talking about their feelings was overwhelming at first, and having to express how I felt was not something I would say I used to find easy, but the retreat taught me the importance of being able to open up about how I feel and share my struggles with others. It really helped me heal and see the light in the midst of whatever I am going through.

The retreat reminded me of the importance of setting aside time to work on my relationship with God and it allowed me a sense of self-satisfaction knowing that I am enough, and I do not have to change anything about myself to suit the liking of others. It has shown me that I should be willing to fully live out my life in Christ and constantly make God a top priority in all aspects of my life.

To sum it up, I would say that the retreat was life-changing and unforgettable, as it has changed me as a person and taught me lessons that I will carry all through my life. It was a time to reconnect with God and experience his love in a completely new and exciting way. I know that because of this retreat the way I carry myself and the way I relate with others has changed for the better, and I am very grateful for the experience.
