Dear students, staff, parents, alumni, and friends of JMC,
Greetings of Christmastide!
I trust you are having a festive holiday in the spirit of Christmas, which as Andy William observes, is the Most Wonderful time of the year. I am writing from a serene and peaceful Heights this penultimate day of the Jubilee year 2025, and I cannot help but recall the experiences of the year with profound joy and overwhelming gratitude.
As we stand on the threshold of yet another year, 2026, it is only apt that we pause and look back at the, soon-to-be last year, remembering in gratitude the joys we felt, successes we enjoyed, progresses we made, opportunities we embraced, milestones we reached, heights we attained, hurdles we overcame as well as the challenges we surmounted. Looking back in gratitude for all of the above, we also recall the many heartaches, failings, struggles, setbacks, diappointments, frustrations, and sufferings we experienced and endured deeply aware of how much they have contributed to our holistic growth and development.
To help us relive, with gratitude, our experiences of 2025, and so anticipate 2026, with great excitement and hope, the media team deemed it wise to produce a video clip that captures the notable events that took place at the Heights this year. I hereby invite you to do a review, an Examine of some sort, with the over twenty minutes long video, which will be published on the various social media handles of the college as well as the website tomorrow.
As you do a general examine of 2025 using the provided video clip, kindly say a prayer for the college, all her members, both past and present, as well as for all her projects that God may pour out God’s blessings on each and every one of us, bringing us fulfillment and joy.
Beloved members of the JMC Family, as 2025 gives way to 2026, I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you how much of a blessing you are to our college community, and thank you for making us a better school in the spirit and vision of Saint Ignatius of Loyola.
I wish you a joyful and grace-filled end to 2025. Cheers to a blessed 2026 to come!
With tremendous gratitude,
Fr. Alexander E. Irechukwu, S.J.
